I've started yet another mini that I've put off for long enough. It's a mini from "Wrath of Kings" called Skorza the Skirmisher.
I've started working on the skin first. I've started with a base coat of Reaper Rosy Shadow and started to highlight by adding Vallejo MC Basic Skintone. Then I used very light blue wash. When it dried I glazed some shadows with blue.

She still needs more highlight on her arms, chest and face... and behind.

I've started working on another mini. It's a very funny
miniature from Anoe Versus (or Studio 38... no idea it's made in
France). It's called Deux-Fleurs (Two-Flower lol) and i have no idea
what the hell it is...
The blister contained only one wing... no problem I will make a new, better pair.
He had a sword but it was way too big and too fancy for him so I decided to make him a pretty wand... You will see it later.
Anyway here it is...

And with some paint on it it looks like this...

Plague Drone of Nurgle
I always liked Nurgle... the ugly, dirty and sick side of Chaos. For some reason I like rotting flesh and maggots, bile and boils. It's just fun to paint. So... I just had to pick a Plague Drone of Nurgle as soon as I've seen it. It's a great model and really, really fun to paint.
I did some work on the body to cover the gaps and to add more texture in some places. I also wanted to make something special for it... a new, better set of wings. So I took some 0.5mm clear plastic and some green stuff and made them from scratch.

And the wings...

It's time for some paint. I've started with a Vallejo Acrylic-Polyurethane Surface Primer (light gray). I love this stuff because I can apply it with airbrush and don't bother with spray cans any more. It's fast and great surface for work. Then I airbrushed a thin coat of bright flesh paint not bothering to cover the whole area. I've made some basic shadows with Vallejo Model Air Tank Brown paint. I've started to apply thin glazes of various colors to liven up the body; blues, reds and purples. With blues I focused more on the shadows. This is a result after couple of glazes.
.
.
.

I've continued adding more colors and started to work on the carapace. I've painted the legs in similar fashion.

.

I did some work on the wings...

I've painted the Plague Bearer in similar colors as the Drones body.

So before I base him and take some proper photos... here it is!!!
